About The Program
The High Hook fishing Camp is now in its 5th year of operation. We take kids out fishing on Duxbury and the surrounding bays with licensed Captains for an experience they will never forget. The kids can have zero experience at all or be an avid fisherman and they will have a great time. Kids range from as young as 7 years of age up to 16. It is run by charter Captain Willie Woodruff who has been running Bluefin tuna and Striped bass charters out of Duxbury for over 12 years.
What To Expect
We have sessions running from late June into early August. Three days of fishing the local waters on a charter boat learning spots and techniques. We will head out of Duxbury bay to catch live mackerel and bring them back in the bays to target Striped Bass. They will bottom fish for Flounder and Sea Bass off of Gurnet. They will have a chance to pull up and check lobster traps and keep whatever is inside, as well as rebait them. If the weather is right they might have a chance to fish Provincetown for large Striped Bass. Each session will be different targeting the fish that are around. We meet all the kids needs from first time fishing and want to learn, to kids who have a passion and just want to fish.. Each boat has a maximum of 6 kids on the boat at once.

What They Will Catch
During these sessions we might target Striped bass, Bluefish, inshore cod, Flounder, Sea bass, and check lobster traps which we will let them rebait. Last season we took a group out Bluefin tuna fishing on their last day where they got to reel in a 160 pound tuna (perfect size for kids). Although we have a really high rate of putting people on fish, everyday is different on the water. One session might catch 30-40 striped bass, while the next day we get 5 or 6, but we give 100% effort to make sure they catch fish and get meat on your tables!
How long are the sessions
Each kid gets three half days of fishing. Depending on which session, they will either get two morning trips and one afternoon trip, or two afternoon trips and one morning trip. Morning sessions are from 6:00am-10:45am. Afternoon sessions are from 12:00pm-4:45pm.
What To Bring
Massachusetts law requires everyone under the age of “12” to wear a life jacket (we can provide if you don't have one), Sunscreen, Sweatshirt, All rods and gear are provided. Drinks and snacks are provided so a cooler is not needed. (they can bring a small lunchbox if they would like.
Each person will get to bring home the daily catch divided evenly among the kids.
The price for a session is $425 per child.
